Umbraco in the UK
I was wondering how many Umbraco users we have in the UK with a view to maybe getting some kind of user group together.
If you are based on the island, then leave a comment on this post with your name, location and a little background on what you do with Umbraco, e.g. hobbyist, personal site hosting, commercial site.
Hello Darren,
We are starting to use Umbraco as a CMS solution for our client websites.
It would be good to see how many UK users there are.

I'm working on my first 2 sites using Umbraco at the moment. All on Ismail's recommendation - and so far everything is going great!

Hi Darren,
I'm based up here in (sunny!) Manchester and am delighted with Umbraco... despite having developed using linux / CGI / perl / php for over a decade, I've been a convert to C#.net over the last few years. Other .net based CMS platforms such as DNN and Rainbow simply don't give you the 100% control over the HTML that Umbraco does.
I'm now looking to launch Umbraco based sites for several customers where accessibility / SEO / etc are critical.
Regards,
Stewart

Hi Darren
Think this would be a great idea, this is a excellent application although the documentation is poor. The speed that you can create and update web sites is fantastic. The user interface is simple to use so even a complete novice should be able to update there site content.

Working & Living in Skye, Scotland. Building cool stuff for Microsoft Groove, and using Umbraco for web sites. GrooveForms being a 'practice run' for the creation of our main company web site..

I work for in the marketing department of a UK based software company.
After joining the company in Dec 05 I researched CMS and foudn Umbraco.
I rebuilt the main site with Umbraco which was launched a couple of months ago and am working on more of the group's sites.
Think a UK Umbraco user group would be a great idea.

Hi Chaps
We have been using umbraco for about 4 months now.
Are implementing a couple pf sites at the moment, but have been mostly working on a flash front end set up to allow slick CMS flash sites.
Should have our first version up in a couple of weeks.
Love the idea of a UK user group

I would definately be interested in a UK user group. It's a damn impressive CMS and I have far too many ideas for enchancements and plugins.
I currently work with Ismail in Manchester but am about to naff off consulting again.
